I always enjoy reading the Bay Journal.

Regarding the article on solar siting in MD, I would like to make a few comments.

Why would we want to build solar on open fields when we can place it on rooftops? Solar should be made so financially attractive to homeowners and businesses that most would install it on existing rooftops, even east or west facing ones. Connection to the grid is easy at all homes and for most businesses. An added benefit is cooling by shading. Why destroy open space and add to rainwater runoff problems just to benefit a few solar companies?
