Environmental Concern - Plant sale/monarch program

Environmental Concern in St. Michaels, MD, invites the public to its Annual Native Plant Sale 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 11 & 12, featuring hundreds of native plant species grown in its greenhouses. In addition, Children’s activities are scheduled on the 11th. EC’s Milkweed for Monarchs program will be offered 10–11 a.m. each day. Learn about the butterfly and its dependence on native milkweed for survival. Tips for plant selection and habitat creation techniques and monarch habitat restoration projects on the Eastern Shore will be discussed. Participants will tour EC’s Nursery where pollinator-friendly plants are grown. There is no registration or fee to attend the plant sale. The cost of the monarch program is $10 and requires registration.
