The Chesapeake Bay Journal will be at the 10th annual Green Festival this Saturday and Sunday in Washington, D.C.! If you’ve never been, the festival is a hub for all things green, and an extensive two-day introduction to the hundreds of companies, nonprofits and innovators who are innovating in this emerging space.

The festival will fill a wing of the Walter E. Washington Convention Center (near Mount Vernon Square metro) from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days. Here’s a look at the schedule of events.

I will be moderating a panel discussion on Saturday afternoon at 4:30 on improving access to good food for all people (the other half of me focuses on food). I moderated a panel at last year’s Green Festival on the intersection of food and the environment, a topic that will continue to crop up at this year’s event. (Did I mention free food samples?)

If you plan to attend — or can be persuaded to attend with free tickets — do come say hello! I’ll be handing out free copies of the Bay Journal and happily spreading the word about our great work. If you would like free tickets to the event, email me at I have a limited number, but can also provide a discount code if I run out.

You can learn more about the D.C. event here and purchase tickets here. I look forward to seeing you there!
