Serious solution needed for excess manure
I immensely enjoyed the December Bay Journal with all of the articles on what people and organizations are doing to improve our impacts on the Chesapeake.
I kept reading Dr. Lynton Land’s Forum Commentary, “Bay cleanup a waste of time unless we seriously address manure,” expecting to him to suggest how best to handle the manure problem.
I guess I missed something because I never saw him address that aspect of the situation.
Does he recommend incineration, power generation, sequestering in mines or some other approach?
I think that if we are going to complain or explain why we are against something, we ought to have the foresight to recommend amelioration processes.
Perhaps he would care to comment?
