Landsat images offer clearer picture of changes in watershed

Satellite images collected in 1984, 1992, 2001, and 2006 have produced a much-needed set of data for analyzing land cover trends in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. USGS scientists are using the data to produce land cover maps for the Bay region, as well as localized maps.
