Parrotheads Unite

September 16, 2017

12:00am - 12:00pm

Location: Annapolis Maritime Museum

August 15, 2017 -- ANNAPOLIS, MD

In what has become a regular party for the regional Parrothead faithful, the Annapolis Maritime Museum is hosting the 13th Annual Boatyard Beach Bash on Saturday, September 16th, 2017, at their waterfront property in Eastport. Founding Sponsor, Boatyard Bar & Grill, and Title Sponsor, Annapolis Subaru, are thrilled to announce this year’s lineup. Four members of Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefers--Peter Mayer, Brendan Mayer, Keith Sykes, and Doyle Grisham--are set to perform alongside world-class musicians John Frinzi, Scott Kirby, Aaron Scherz, and John Patti. As warm days start to dwindle, the Museum invites music-lovers from all over the region to head to the Bay for one last glimpse of summer.

Peter Mayer, lead guitarist for the Coral Reefers, said, “There are very few sacred dates on our calendar amidst our busy tour schedule with Jimmy (Buffett), but this one is a can’t-be-missed. We’re looking forward to coming back and having a party with our friends on the Bay!”

While it receives acclaim for being one of the best parties in Annapolis, the Boatyard Beach Bash is most importantly a philanthropic event that raises significant funds for the Annapolis Maritime Museum's environmental education programs that have served over 7,500 students in the past year. The event has raised over $765,000 since 2004.

"Dick Franyo of Boatyard Bar & Grill and our other sponsors are our heroes. Their support helps us fulfill our fundamental mission,” said Alice Estrada, Annapolis Maritime Museum Executive Director. “The Museum’s award-winning environmental education programs are pivotal to establishing a connection between the younger generation and the Chesapeake Bay."

For just $75.00 per general admission ticket, each patron will receive a grilled buffet dinner provided by Boatyard Bar & Grill, two drink vouchers, and the opportunity to witness first-class entertainment on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay. With a $125.00 V.I.P. (Very Important Parrothead) ticket, guests gain admittance to an exclusive reception prior to the concert, where they will have the opportunity to meet touring and recording members of the Jimmy Buffett Band before they perform and to enjoy signature Painkiller cocktails and hors d'oeuvres from the area's best caterers.
