Dyke Marsh - Aquatic vegetation talk

The Friends of Dyke Marsh invite the public to Aquatic Macrophyte Abundance & Diversity in the freshwater, tidal Potomac River, a presentation by Nancy Rybicki 7:30-–9:30 p.m. Sept. 13 at the Huntley Meadows Park Visitor Center in Fairfax, VA. She will discuss native and nonnative plant trends, including Potomac River submerged aquatic vegetation species abundance during a time interval when water quality improved, and investigations into the nonnative aquatic plant, water chestnut, in the Potomac watershed. Rybicki is an aquatic plant biologist and hydrologist with the National Research Program of the U.S. Geological Survey Water Resources Division. All ages are welcome to this free presentation.
