10:00am - 4:00pm
Location: Trap Pond State Park Baldcypress Nature Center in Laurel, DE
Creekwatchers observe site conditions, take measurements directly in the water and obtain up to three samples that are analyzed by partner labs. The data is used to create annual report cards, is shared with government agencies and partners and is used to develop and inform programs. The sampling season begins March 26–27 and continues until Nov. 5–6, for a total of 17 sampling periods. Volunteers are expected to be available 14 out of 17 sampling periods. Volunteers are strongly encouraged to attend the March 18 session, but there is an alternative training date, if needed. Pre-registration is required; indicate if you are attending March 18 or need the alternative training session.
