The public is encouraged to attend the State of the Magothy program to learn about the decline in the health of the river and the factors that have influenced this negative trend. Also discussed will be crucial steps that must be taken to reverse this trend and “move forward” to improve the Magothy River.
Talks and display presentations will include the general state of the Magothy report, the yellow perch restoration program and the Berrywood Cattail Creek restoration project. The annual circumnavigation of the river will be highlighted, and the all new Magothy River Water Trail will be debuted. The Magothy River’s construction site monitoring program and the MRA scholarships at AACC will also be featured.
